Mexican VW Beetle Alternator Stand

This is the oil filler cap.  It's heavy ABS plastic which is highly resistant to heat.

This is the "back" of the alternator stand (remember Front is Front.)  Notice the VW of Mexico part number,
the BOCAR logo, and "Zundfolge" is now replaced with "ignicion."

This is the bottom of the alternator stand.  Notice the moulded ABS plastic baffle (no longer need
the metal baffle gasket) and the silicon o-ring (VWoM Part # BAA 101 212) which seals the stand
to the engine - no gaskets needed!

I haven't quite yet figured out how the breather attaches to the alternator stand but there is NO threaded
fitting holding it on.  I'm not sure if it twists or snaps out or not.  I figured I'd better leave it alone before I
break something.

Thanks to my wife's lovely hands, she held up the alternator stand so you could see it in profile.  Notice the
huge cutout in the front of the stand to allow the fuel injection intake runners to clear.

Looking inside the breather housing.

Perhaps 1 of 2 awesome features of this alternator stand is the remarkable 2 piece bracket that holds the alternator to the stand.  No more ring to have to try and install.
